Born to cook
I grew up in the Mediterranean region and showed a keen interest in cooking from a very early age. My mother has always been my culinary role model. When I was young she would let me try, fail and eventually master increasingly challenging recipes, such as traditional cakes. She encouraged me to explore the harmony of flavours. Her inspiration helped me discover the techniques behind great dishes – from fresh, simple and subtle to rich, complex and bold. My passion for food was supported by the entire family.
Reaching out around the globe
Some time ago, I decided to share my passion for cooking with the world. I’m a very social person and by creating my website, Fifi’s Deli, I was able to connect with fellow foodies around the globe. I also wanted to help people who were interested in making healthy decisions about food. By sharing my ongoing research from the internet and countless books, I hope to encourage people to eat well and enjoy food.
